The universe of futuristic, dystopian, war-torn of Warhammer 40 k per year 40 000 wolves are a force to be reckoned with. initially led by Primarch Leman Russ, they form a quasi-invincible army of the most loyal soldiers in the army of the humanity.
Location of wolves are VI space Marine Legion, a single unit intended for Leman Russ, one of twenty genetically engineered the sons of Emperor of mankind. Stolen soon after its conception in the Emperor's vaults, it was gene spirited in the world, remote from the powers of chaos and raised by a tribe of semi-vitreous sentient wolves. Ultimately, it was adopted by a fierce human colonists and learned the ways of man, discovering that it is more human than Wolf and more than two. When he rose to fame and Emperor recognised in their actions on the quality of the Primarch, one of his sons genetically engineered, Leman Russ was given command of the Marine Legion area, are intended for him and he renamed the space wolves.
Wolves, space itself as a place of soldiers or Adeptus Astartes are bio engineering warriors, improved with gene seeds of the emperor. Aggressive training and conditioning to survive where others can die many times over. Not all marine area recruits survive training or genetic improvements. And those who survive are still threatened by mutations caused by Imperial gene-seed. Descendant chapter of wolves, brothers become victim of Wolf rampant mutation and disbanded.
Planet Fenris when Leman Russ, Primarch (founder) of the sons of Russ grows, it is Prime land for VI dial space Marine Legion. Aggressive, hostile and populated by people, whose existence is centred around survival against both the upheavals of the planet and each other party Fenris allows only the strongest and best to survive, and only the best of those who become wolves rookies.
For the inhabitants of Fenris Wolf are known as Sky soldiers living in their high Arctic island archipelago of over unstable planet. Leman Russ retains the Fenris Wolf as the seat of the space. The planet is located at the end of the warp Rift, known as eye terror and thus form the first line of protection against the forces of the Imperium of chaos. Wolves stand guard against attacks and incursions into the realm of humanity through the rift.
