It was in 1971 that Nolan Bushnell state changed worldwide when he and Ted Dabni created the first ever commercially sold computer space Arcade game. He may not have been a great success, but later arcade games is changed whenever the Bushnell State and Dabni added two words to our language, Atari and Pong. Pong is the first real success story, simple game, where it would control the paddle and hit the ball from left to right, until someone missed it.
Now, they may not have been the first ever computer games, for which we must go all the way back to 1952, when s. Douglas made a graphical version of Tic Tac Toe-to-vacuum tube EDSAC computer. But it was games like William Higinbotham's tennis for two, made in 1958 in the United States nuclear research laboratory joined Brookhaven National Laboratory Oscilloscope and 1962 SpaceWar using MIT PDP-1 CPU, influenced the first ever arcade games.
In the seventies that the arcade game business has started to develop. 30 games come between 1971 and 1973, between 1974 and 1975 there were 57 and then suddenly in 1976, there were 53 editions.
During this time, some college play began the work of the newly formed Atari. Young Steve jobs only lasts one semester in Reed College before becoming number 40 on the Atari, Los Gatos, California facilities. Soon he was sneaking his friend Steve Wozniak in place so that they can play arcade machines late at night. Both were instrumental in hardware for another variation of pong game, very successful separation. Jobs and Wozniak would of course go to the form of the Apple computer company, which is a whole other story.
By 1974 most games use a simple header graphics, but then Atari introduced the ROM chips for storage of graphic data and the first game to use this is called a tank. In 1975, in the middle would be the first using microprocessors, released the Western game, Gunfight. Many in the middle of the games are developed by Taito in Japan, a growing force in the industry.
These game, mainly found in bars and to space invaders, licensed by the middle of Taito. In 1978 the invasion is also new premises. This game is popular that suddenly everyone wants it and little shop corner stores started to play games. The answer to space invaders Atari was asteroids. It will go on to become the biggest selling game of all time.
1979 to bring color for the first time, and then in 1980 Toru Iwatani would design a game based on Japanese of folklore, which can change everything. Since there will be a TV show produced, clothes and even breakfast cereals and to live up to today. This game has been understood human PAC. Next year, Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto, soon proclaimed for the design of the Wii, Donkey Kong and give us a sign, which could rival the PAC man popularity, Mario.
In 1981 Atari centipede introduced to the world and this is the first game is co-process by a woman, Mrs. Bayley. Interestingly the first game to have a female player base.
In 1982, in the Middle made game based on this film, Tron, which just had its sequel, released in 2011! This game will end up producing more profit than the movie.
These are early days, led to the revolution of the 1980s, will see the games developed with computer technology. Today, arcade games are as popular as ever, imagine combat, racing and interactive games, dancing, these early people could not even. But without them, none of them would have been possible.
